If you aim to be a fine beat maker, then you should be learning the basics of making a beat. Start with a specific time signature and as you get to the middle you may change the beat to another time signature then switch back to the first beats. For example, you may start off with a 4/4 time signature beats and then jump to a 3/4 and then move back to the original.

You can now pay attention to the track you have just created. Let family and friends listen and then criticize the track that you have made. Allow different people to listen to the track to gather as much opinion as you can. This is a nice way to evaluate objectively what you have made, if you are making a beat that could sell. You are making it right if many people like your work, and you can just add extra elements to your composition to make it more lively and groovy.

If you can write lyrics to the music, then try doing so because this is an excellent way to make a record. The lyrics may sound like poetry that has different rhythm and measure depending on the beats you made. Today, people normally do not criticize the lyrics as long as they enjoy the music. Writing lyrics that matches the music may be difficult especially if you do not have the knack for it, so it is proper to have a lyricist by your side. This way you can  create a certain attitude with what you have put up with the beat and lyrics.

Keep in mind that the number of beat makers these days is increasing. In any case, it is surprising to find people who can create good music but don’t do so. There are many artists out there who have the passion to create music and yet do not use their abilities to the maximum. Nevertheless, a free beat maker certainly works for people who dream about making their own music beats but cannot afford the price of all the musical instruments needed.
